Feta and Thyme Soda Bread

The Great British Bake Off 2015, Week 3 – Breads.

Week three on The Great British Bake Off was breads, I think this is one of my weaker areas.

This weeks signature bakes were all quick breads that need no proving, like soda breads. No yeast involved just baking powder or bicarbonate of soda as the raising agent.

I had to choose a recipe that I fancy eating and came across this recipe for a feta and thyme soda bread on the little loaf blog.

This recipe was really quick and easy, perfect while still warm and lots of butter. I'll definately be making it again and maybe trying some different flavours.

She has some great recipes and is a baker that really appeals to me – definately worth checking out if you love a bit of nostalgia.

In 2015 I made it through to the last 50 in the last audition of The Great British Bake Off. Sadly I wasn't chosen for the programme but I need to carry on my journey as I can't imagine my life without baking.

I'd love to start writing my own recipes. So what better place to do it than starting a blog.
